Led Zeppelin IN THROUGH THE OUT DOOR
Thoughts as this plays:
- I’ve read online that this album is the most Plant/Jones album of all of the Zep albums; honestly, that’s not a bad thing, as I am really digging it. Sure, it’s way different than Led Zeppelin II or ”ZOSO”, but different does not necessarily mean worse.
- I guess I didn’t realize that they recorded a country song, but “Hot Dog” definitely exists!
- I also did not realize that “All Of My Love” was on this album, nor did I recognize how much I loved that song. It’s really fucking good.
- Ditto for “Carouselambra.”
- Again, I like that vinyl is forcing me to reconsider music, to take in albums as a whole. Again, I knew the hits, but not every song on this album. But now I know that they recorded a country song (see above).
- Of the four albums I have purchased in the last two weeks this is the one that I have played, flipped the side, played, and then flipped the side and played it again. And again.
