Nothing too terribly wild or exciting this past weekend, but with the shitshow that is this current administration, I don’t know that mentally I could take much more.
- Friday: Just a chill night at home with Shalee. Found out that under very specific conditions my brain sometimes cannot distinguish between thinking and speaking. Hilarity then ensues, but not something I can go into detail about in a public forum; ask me privately and I will tell you.
- Saturday: Had some family business to attend to, ran some errands that consisted mostly of buying Mexican pan dulce, and then went with Shalee to visit her aunt who was recovering. That evening we went to our friends’ holiday Luau party where we talked to old friends and played with their new cat. Perhaps this sounds terribly boring, but we didn’t have to attend a funeral; sometimes a normal Saturday is all you can handle some weekends.
- Sunday: Woke up to coffee and the Mexican pastries I purchased on Sunday. Followed up with grocery shopping for the house and for our daughter’s apartment. Curled up on the couch and in bed reading (more on that tomorrow).
