My father, Roy Diaz, as a child
11 years…
Loss is not profound, it is common, it is ubiquitous, it is mundane.
I just want to be able to talk to my dad.
And that’s it, really. Grief is about the inability to share the boring, everyday, mundane things about life just as much as it is about sharing the highlights and victories.
Another repost of sorts.
I said what I had to say last year and after rereading it I don’t know that I have anything profound to say other than to repeat the quote above.
I miss my dad and that’s enough.
And maybe, if you’re out there somewhere, could you please guarantee a Michigan State victory tonight?
Thanks, dad. GO GREEN!
