Five links that I found interesting for one reason or another
- 18feb25 - Linking this just because I like this quote: “No one cares what you do unless you think about it. No one cares what you think unless you do it.”
- I Don’t Have Spotify - Well, I don’t, but I found this cool tool that takes the Spotify link and gives alternate links (but sadly, NOT to Amazon Music).
- Using vinyl records to timebox your journaling - Interesting idea for a writing prompt. I need to consider this.
- Johnny Cash Makes A Surprise Chart Comeback After The Super Bowl - Great to see Johnny Cash getting recognition, doubly so for a Depeche Mode cover, but it’s clear that the people that made the commercial did not get the irony of the using “Personal Jesus” in their advertisement as it’s clearly about idolatry.
- Lucasfilm Boss Kathleen Kennedy Expected to Retire This Year - I have mixed emotions about this. The Mandalorian and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny were both fantastic, IMO, but how do you fuck up the Star Wars sequel trilogy so completely? I’ve been saying for years that perhaps someone else should steer the ship; looks like that time is coming.
High Five is a regular feature of this blog with an irregular schedule; just five links to things I found to be interesting.
