The Weekend!

Friday: Chill night watching Star Trek: Section 31, which has somehow done the impossible: it unseated Star Trek V: The Final Frontier as the worst Star Trek movie ever. Like, seriously, it’s just fucking awful, and I wanted to like it. Poor Michelle Yeoh…
Saturday: In not so great news, we spent a good chunk of the day driving to and participating in a remembrance saying goodbye to my Aunt Amy, who passed unexpectedly last weekend. Despite the fact that she was only six years older than me, I can’t say that we were especially close, though we did share the same taste in music as well as political views, but more than anything I feel terrible for my four cousins who find themselves motherless now. I guess I’m at the age of goodbyes, something that will extend until my own exit; I don’t love that.
Sunday: A very relaxing day with lots of football watched, some reading done, and time spent organizing the home office. I very much enjoy quiet weekend days with Shalee, almost as much as I enjoy our adventures.
