Assignment Completed
Here’s to quality time with our daughters and unplanned adventures with family and friends!
Life
- Friday: Anilee was home and she requested biscuits and gravy, so the entire family had that for dinner. After, we decided to watch a film, so we fired up Netflix to watch Anna Kendrick’s directorial debut, Woman Of The Hour, which had just come out. It was very well done and creepy as fuck, we both enjoyed it, but mostly it was nice to spend some time with my daughter.
- Saturday: I understood and completed the assignment (I voted), which means all of the political ads will stop for me now, right? Played some of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops VI, then went costume shopping with Shalee before attending a, SURPRISE!, costume party at our friends Jen and Casey’s place. We also watched MSU lose to U of M, which was (sadly) expected.
- Sunday: Woke up planning to watch all of the sports, but Makie asked if we could check out the Macabre market at the Downtown Market, which our friend Mark had serendipitously just texted the group that Monica had a booth down there. Shalee, Makie, and I met up with Chris and Nasiha at wine bar, after perusing half the market, chatted with Mark and Monica, then checked out the second half of the market where we bought a couple of items, including a print inspired by the greatest movie of all time, Aliens (check my Insta). From there the five of us went and had lunch at El Granjero (a first for me and the ladies), which was very delicious; YAY for spontaneous adventures and time with our other daughter!
- My anxiety is still through the roof, and yet we probably have another 10+ days until we may know the results of this election. I’m emotionally drained and exhausted.
Music
- The latest Underworld album, Strawberry Hotel, was released on Friday, though a few singles were released well beforehand. Overall I really like it, but a vinyl price of $30+ without mp3s is stupid, so I will hold off on purchasing it for a bit.
