What, another blog post about earbuds? Didn’t you already bore us with blabbering on about your Sony WF-1000XM3 earbuds already?
Why yes, yes I did.
But as much as I truly do adore my Sony earbuds (and I do adore them) I actually use these Anker Life A1s more often. It’s not because they sound better, but because they are water resistant and don’t fall out of my ears.
Now, that’s not to say that the Sony earbuds fall out easily, but they are more for sitting around the house, maybe doing some commuting, or for working in an office, partly due to their size as far as earbuds go (current generations of the WFs are much smaller). But also, I am a large, diabetic man who needs to exercise (walk two+ miles) regularly and due to said largeness I sweat.
As great as the WFs sound, they are not water/sweat resistant, and they’re not meant for walking around outside at a moderate pace.
Honestly, I am not all that worried about them falling out while walking, but I am concerned about my sweat destroying them. As they were not cheap, as well as a gift from Shalee, I did not want to ruin them.
So during Prime Day 2021 these Anker buds went on sale for $34.99 and I figured, “why not?”
Three years later they are still my go-to bud for whenever I need to go for a walk, mow the lawn, or do anything when I want to listen to music but may sweat (which is more often than not, which is why I use these buds more often than the Sony buds).
